LIZARDS

In general, Lizards have a small head, short neck and a long body with tail. Unlike snakes, most lizards have movable eyelids. There are nearly 4,700 lizard species on earth. They are part of a group of animals known as reptiles. Lizards have two pairs of legs and a tapering tail. The skin of a lizard is dry and cool. Their tongue is elastic and flexible and can be extended to an unbelievable distance. Depending upon the species, the maximum size, weight, lifespan, age of the maturity can be ascertained. They are skinks to Gila monster. The largest size may go up to 3 meters where as the smallest is 1.6 centimeters in length. The heaviest weight of a dragon may go up to 80 kgs,where as the lightest dwarf gecko weight is just 120 milligrams. The lifespan may go up to 50 years for some species. They attain maturity between 12 months to 7 years.

DISEASE

It can lead to Fungal Infections which spread very quickly and cause skin damage. Infections usually start along the abdomen and produce brown-spotted scales and spreads wounds in the skin. It may also cause food poisoning. The reason behind this is because the house geckos feed on eatables. House geckos are known to carry various types of pathogens in their bodies which causes food-poisoning.

TREATMENT

Spray chemical continuously across the area to create an artificial barrier for the hidden and breeding place. No object will be disturbed.

RESULT

The fallen dead lizards will be kept in a polythene bag and buried.
